  2. The fitness level of the English team is quite impressive. Of course, the fact that the Danes had to travel from Azerbaijan for this game and England is basically hosting the Euro with their team playing 90% of their games in Wembley stadium helps the English national team immensely. Wonder if there was any sort of steroid or illegal substance monitoring during these Euros, have any of the teams been tested for something other than covid?

  3. England had all the ball from 75-105mins. After Grealish was taken off the Danes had the ball for the next ten minutes. Substitute back fired in my view. England totally controlled last five mins. But the substitution handed Denmark some initiative. Why nobody mentions this is strange.

  4. It’s only between Sterling or Grealish who Southgate would take off because the switch of the formation when taking Trippier on and go to wingbacks.
Because it they don’t fit in that formation.
But yeah, I think they could take of Sterling instead, I would I think Grealish is better too.
Anywat, that’s how it is, I respect Southgate and his tactical decision so🤷‍♂️👍🏽👍🏽👌🏽

  5. These days it's now ALL about Southgate. He is impervious to criticism, cannot connect emotionally with the fans, & has almost no attacking strategy or vision.
He is just VERY VERY lucky that he has both Kane and Sterling, a crop of very very good young wide players, three excellent full-backs and the choice of either Phillips or Henderson in the engine room.
He is not a good tactical manager in any respect – not a Robson, not a Venables, not a Ramsey
…… BUT he does seem to able to pull a group together – so he must have SOMETHING that the rest of us can't see.

No way Grealish should have come off – he is an instinctive player quite similar to the Gazza playing mentality – and if Southgate has soured him, he will have lost a huge talent and a big influence in that team. Every team needs a "cocky" maverick – and Grealish is it.
I think Jack is a big enough man to shrug it off, but why even risk it??

  6. He his a good footballer to be greater he need to drop that Beckham attitude like football is a fashion show and not producing as much, look at Beckham fashion show and dont have a international championship to show 🤷🏿‍♂️

  7. I won't criticise Southgate at all for replacing Grealish to close the shop. Apart from Kane and Sterling who were superb throughout the game, the only England player on that pitch who wasn't defensive minded was Grealish. I can promise you that as soon as England scored the second goal, I made that change in my head before Southgate, I was screaming for Trippier. Why? Because all the players were tracking back, except Grealish. Even though he tracked back sometimes, he didn't show any defensive resilience. People talk about Grealish keeping the ball and pushing the Danish players to foul him. Yes, that's right, but imagine for a second that the referee waived off a foul (because it happens in such tense games) and that led to a Danish counter-attack, you never know what would have happened. This French pundit wants football to be played the way he wants it to be played, who are you to criticise the conservative approach that has seen France win the world cup, Portugal win the European cup, Chelsea win the 2021 champions league, Germany win the world cup, you name it?? It's ridiculous to talk about a man, Jack Grealish (who will probably be a great England player in the future, but that doesn't guarantee trophies at international level because we had Becks, Waza, Gaza, Shearer in the past) against a manager who has proven to be successful in his choices and tactics, who learned from his mistake at the world cup in the semi final against Croatia. Come on England fans, let's not be ridiculous, this is about the team, the squad, not Jack Grealish.

  9. This is my point, you don't protect leads nowadays by bringing on defensive players, you protect leads by dominating possession and starving you opponent, not by bringing on more defenders and sitting deep and inviting pressure, it worked out in the end but it is a dangerous game to play, very antiquated way of thinking

  10. Gareth Southgate no’s what he is doing (His team no also) he has got us to the final. He plays the players as he sees fit and if you watch any interview ( players or Gareth) they are happy and well managed at their fittest and managed so so well.I’m sure everyone saw playing him for 30 mins seemed unfair but the team and Gareth are tight and no what they are going to do on the night.Come on England your country is behind you!!!

  11. People stop need to saying that Grealish was humiliated. EVERONE thinks Grealish is quality. And I’m sure Southgate feels the same. But the game was won with 15mins needed and Southgate needed to lock it down. Being subbed in this team means nothing. GREALISH is top quality and being on the bench and/or being taken off means nothing.

  12. No one was humiliated.
Southgate, s decision was fantastic because after Saka left the field, a new challenge was created defensively. Southgate is doing more than well.
The game is about win win win. England is in the final. Thank you Southgate.
